PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND

I had the pleasure to attend Rhode Island Pride and y’all it was ICONIC. Providence turned it out!!!

The last time I visited Providence was when I was on tour with the Broadway show Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. It was a full circle moment being at the judge’s table outside of the most glorious theatre where I performed 15 years ago! Definitely catch a show at PPAC while in town!

Where to STAY

If you want Luxury Eleganza Extravaganza you must stay at Aloft Providence Downtown. The design, comfort, and attention to detail is exquisite. Make sure to visit Blu Violet Rooftop Bar and the downstairs WXYZ Bar for delightful bites and prideful cocktails.

What to SEE

Travel the city by foot! It is super easy to navigate and you will get in 20,000 steps a day to hit your goals! Another fabulous way to see the city is by water. Highly suggest doing a gondola ride with La Gondola Providence.

Providence blends the quaint allure of a New England town with the dynamic flair of an urban center. Its celebrated dining scene, vibrant arts and culture, and beautifully maintained historic landmarks make Providence a captivating and inspiring place to visit.

RHODE ISLAND PRIDE

The theme for Rhode Island Pride was THRIVE and the gays theys and baes sure did THRIVE. As Queer folks we have survived for so long- fighting for our rights to exist in a world where we can be QUEER without FEAR. It’s not enough just to survive- it’s time to THRIVE🌈💅🦄

Check out what the Mayor and many incredible Queer folks had to say about Providence and what to THRIVE means to them.

What does THRIVE mean to you?

Just The Tip

Visit the Queer-owned and operated cafe, Small Format. It is super radical, super queer, super vibrant, and super VEGAN!
